Story of a Reckless Guru and Clueless Disciples!!!
This movie is nothing more than the story of reckless guru who is so irresponsible that he risks the lives of people who trust him just to prove a point. He call himself a guru, a yogi, the enlightened one. Let me tell you sir, action speak louder than words. Throwing a bunch of philosophy/spirituality in the air infront of people who are foreign to your culture does not make you a yogi. Nor does living and growing up in Rishikesh, India. Because of Guru's foolish behavior, there were several places where people in his group have died because of him. He made stupid decisions to prove a point that the highest road lies within you. If you want to prove something to yourself by all mean go ahead and ride your bike all the way upto Mt.Everest but don't risk the lives of the ignorant ones in your group. I have no problem with the adventure/challenge they picked but there is something known as calculated risk, specially when someone else's life is at stake. Please don't waste 2 hrs of...
Excellent journey to the self.
I had been waiting to see this movie since it came out in a limited amount of theaters for what felt like forever, I was finally able to see this documentary and I was so overwhelmed by its wisdom and beauty. Shot in the India, this film takes you along for the journey that Anand took with a handful of others to reach the highest passable road in India on motorcycles. One rider named Adam that had followed Anand's teachings had only been riding for a few weeks and held in like a champ. It's a journey of self discovery, humor and danger from time to time and kept me engaged. Through following through the crowded streets of the city into the picturesque beauty of the countryside, this film takes you through a range of emotions. There is joy and peace, self doubt and discovery. Anand shows once again the energy and wisdom of the ages that he possesses and really gets to the heart of the matter with the people that are with him with honesty, open mindedness and sincerity from the...
Inspiring! A must see
A must see! It's not often a film really entertains and inspires you deeply. You forget its a documentary with such stunning Himalayan visuals and music. I could watch it many times, there are so many gems. The leader, Anand Mehrotra, is incredibly accessible, modern, funny, and wise.
